ISOPRINOSINE has a double mode of action that enables a fast and vigorous immune system response at the same time that it prevents viral replication, quickly resulting in the disappearance of clinical symptoms.

The increase in the response of the third natural barrier of the body (immune system) against infecting antigens is caused by:

  • T-cell or T-lymphocyte production stimulation.
  • Killer T-lymphocyte function enhancement.
  • Natural killer cell (NK) function support.
  • B-cell (B-lymphocytes) activity increase and the ensuing immunoglobulin production.
  • Phagocytic activity intensification. In fact, the immune response is enhanced at cell and humoral level.

Different pharmacological studies have shown that ISOPRINOSINE:

  • Results in a marked cell protein and nucleic acid synthesis enhancement.
  • Preserves cellular polyribosome structure and function.
  • Reinforces the hydrogen bridges in host-cell polyribosomes.

These events are an actual and effective defense against viral DNA and RNA, preventing viral replication, with regards to the histological and functional integrity of human cells. The dual activity of ISOPRINOSINE clinically translates into the disappearance of symptoms, laboratory tests returning to normal, notable reduction of relapses and the return of the patient to everyday activities.

Main indications

Ailments that undergo different levels of immunodeficiency:
